Medical Language Specialists/Transcriptionists
At Transcend, we offer both Full Employment and Independent Contractor status
for Medical Language Specialists. All MLS professionals work out of their homes
and can choose to work on a full- or part-time basis. Please note that we require at
least 8 hours on either Saturday or Sunday for all of our positions
(part-time, full-time, and IC), and we require a minimum of 20 hours/week for part-time status.
We support our employees' and ICs' home-based offices by providing 24/7 technical and administrative support and quick
problem resolution for our software. We have the following computer requirements:
General requirements for this position are:

A minimum of two years of current full-time work experience in acute-care
transcription with a strong background in operative notes, or two years' work
experience in radiology, oncology, clinic, or cardiology transcription. In
addition, we occasionally have entry-level positions available; please see our

Candidates MUST have recent, full-time experience working with multiple dictators in a large acute care setting (100 or more dictators)

Candidates MUST be willing to work at least 1 weekend day. Preferred schedules are either Tu-Sat or Sun-Th.

Experience with ESL (English-as-a-Second-Language) dictators is required.
